I loved everything about Sea-Mar. I have over a year clean, and i would go back just for a refresher course. To me the facility has no weakness After being at Sea-Mar, going on my second week, I experienced a life changing event. My fiance had a severe stroke and i lost it. It very devastating to know that I couldn't be there for him. Well the staff talked to me, my counselor was absolutely wonderful and compassionate. By the end of the next week the staff had made a decision to let me go on a day pass to see my fiance in the hospital which was 2hrs back home. So i made arrangements left on my day pass saw Tony for an hour told him i loved him gave him a hug and went back to treatment. I felt so blessed, my girls came to see me that following weekend, had a great visit, I looked into my girls eyes and told them they didn't have to come back I can do this on my own, I don't want to know anymore about the outside world, and at that moment I had such an overwhelming inner peace flow through my body. I knew I was going to accomplish and succeed through the rest of the program. I now have a Year and a month clean and and sober and i feel great about! I never want go back to using. I really truly have been blessed through my new and wonderful journey called sobriety.
They seem to care about your recovery most of the time. They need to adjust their commucation policy so people don't have contact with others right away which can make their rehab harder. They are great they care, there is somethings they need to work on to be a better option and have a less of a relapse rate.
