Strengths: staff, food, phone calls, atmosphere, t@taught self worth and heritage. Weaknesses: Lack of/not enough Visitation and participation of family members. Really liked tribal/native aspects. Think more family participation was needed. No costs because of tribal affiliation.
This program was like being with family. Staff and clients included. The atmosphere was very healing and cheerful. Trust was given until a reason to not trust was shown. A client could leave campus for 2 hours with family or another client after the initial 72 hours detox time. Smoking was allowed. It was a wonderful program.
I chose Clay Crossing for my husband and it was a great choice. We were close to divorcing if he didn't get help. He didn't want to go but after the first week he was glad he did. The counselors are great and the family counseling they offer helped us so much. The staff was always so nice and helpful whenever I called or came for a visit. My husband now understands better why he became an addict and how to cope with it. I'd recommend Clay Crossing to anyone who really wants to change their life.
