ViewPoint Rehabilitation Center

The staff was amazing! They all cared about how I was doing. They are understanding of some of the struggles I was going through. And always made time for me. They were was on top of all my after care plans making sure everything was set up for me when I got home. They were always there if I needed to talk. One staff member had a way to make me feel ok even when I had bad anxiety. His guitar playing was awesome! There were very understanding of some of the issues I was going through at home. Another staff member was very positive and upbeat and made me feel welcome. I gained the skills I needed to return home stay sober, feel alive, and really enjoy my recovery! I thank God for all of them. In their own ways they all helped in saving my life. The mindfulness counseling gave me the courage to face some very difficult situations when I arrived home. I continue to use these practices in my daily life and its made me a very grounded and thankful person!

More Info

Finding Roswell Recovery Programs Drug distribution rings are an ongoing concern in New Mexico as portrayed by a July 2012 Roswell News report on the arrest of two major crack cocaine distributors. Roswell drug rehab programs work to provide direction and guidance for anyone wanting to break the hold of addiction on their life.

If you or someone you know battles with addiction problems, there's no shame in getting the help you need to stop using drugs.

When to Seek Professional Treatment

Most people start using drugs as a way to relax and unwind, especially in social situations. When it gets to the point where a person starts to crave the effects of the drug, it may be time to seek professional help. Once your body starts craving a drug, this indicates certain chemical changes have taken place in the brain. When this happens, the body has come to rely on the effects of the drug to function normally. Continued drug use will only make the cravings worse and also bring about withdrawal symptoms in the absence of the drug. The sooner a person gets help, the easier it will be to prevent a full-blown addiction from developing.

Teenagers and Warning Signs

The allure of drugs and their effects pose a genuine risk during the teenage years when young people tend to struggle with identity issues the most. Family problems or trouble at school can act as emotional triggers that cause a teen to seek out drugs under the right circumstances, according to Medline Plus. If you suspect your teenager or someone you know may be using drugs, some of the signs to look out for include:

  • Missing school or skipping classes
  • Red or bloodshot eyes
  • Spending lots of time alone
  • Irritability and/or depressed behavior
  • Missing items around the house (money, jewelry, medications, etc.)
