Catherine, BSN has been a Registered Nurse for the last 8 years. As a second career, and with a prior Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, she obtained an Associate’s degree in nursing in 2011 and began her career in the Emergency Department. In 2017 she obtained her BSN, while still continuing as an ER nurse. It was during her time as an ER nurse that she often experienced with patients and families the devastating effects of substance abuse. This compelled her to accept a floor nurse position with the Maryland Center for Addiction treatment in March of 2018 when it opened it’s doors. Within 3 months Catherine shifted from an occasional floor nurse at MCAT and full-time ER nurse, to a full-time RN Case Manager at MCAT and an occasional ER floor nurse. In July of 2019, Catherine accepted the Director of Nursing position at MCAT, and truly feels that she has found her nursing niche in substance abuse treatment and nursing management. She is currently looking forward to graduating in December 2020 with her Master’s of Science in Nursing to become a family nurse practitioner.

Adam received his MA from Pacific Oaks College in 2011. Adam has been a pillar in the Los Angeles recovery community for the last 12 years. For over a decade, Adam triaged the day to day clinical program of one of the nation’s largest non-profits specializing in addiction. Adam has held positions ranging from Family Director, Assistant Clinical Director, and Men and Women’s Program Director. Adam is highly sought out nationwide by programs and families as an interventionist. Adam works closely with our client’s and their families, creating a safe space for recovery. Adam and Yeshaia worked side by side for 10 years before co-founding Recover Integrity together.

Dr. Ximena Sanchez-Samper is a Board Certified Addictions Psychiatrist who trained at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) and completed her Addictions Fellowship through Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in 2004. Dr. Sanchez-Samper is an advocate of incorporating Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) into the comprehensive care of patients struggling with Alcohol and Opioid Use Disorders. Dr Sanchez-Samper is an Instructor at Harvard Medical School and enjoys lecturing nationwide on Substance Use Disorders identification, diagnosis and treatment.
