From the time me and my husband came in, I was really impressed by the intake nurse, she was wonderful & very informative because we had no idea what to expect. She was welcoming and everyone made me feel comfortable, down to the gentleman who loaded my luggage. We felt so much better after intake because we were a little scared coming in and we may not have stayed had we not had such a good experience during our intake, Thank you to the intake nurse Jessica because we definitely would not have stayed to get help. I went to the Bible Study and the AA meeting and I loved the groups. Every single staff member that I have encountered during my stay was very helpful and accommodating. Being here gave me a sense of comfort and ease that someone was there for me when I was going through such a difficult time because going through it by myself, I don’t think I could have made it. TA Mattie sat with me and helped me understand the significance of Post Acute Withdrawals and the effects on my body which gave me the assurance that what I’m going through is normal. The gym was nice I would have liked to have used it more and the rooms were like I expected, they were hotel style like I saw online. I’m a home health nurse and I would definitely recommend River Oaks to anyone seeking help and treatment for addiction.
