St. John’s Recovery Place
Staff is great, kind, and very supportive. Good food, excursions, wonderful behavioral techs, nurses, and therapists. Also, very tidy! Oh, and they clean and fold your laundry. Can’t leave that out.
River Oaks Treatment Center
Rachel the TA and Christina the Nurse really helped me because they were there for me. Rachel is so sweet and very tender hearted and caring, she always explains everything so wisely. Christina is a very good listener and has very positive but stern and realistic approach, she gives lots of detailed information. As much as I didn't like to process, I really needed that. I loved when the other women would talk because I could relate to them and they have the same experiences as me. I loved the AA and NA groups because I loved the speaker meetings. They would come in to talk to us and I would hear their story and think "Wow, I can do that too!" The facility is very clean and I felt like I was very well cared for. If I had any kind of problem with detoxing there was someone there 24/7 and I knew if anything happened, they had me covered. I did 4 meetings a day which showed me how to have a schedule and stay busy. The routine is going to be very beneficial for my recovery. I would recommend River Oaks in a heartbeat 100%!
