Verify your coverageFree/cost efficient. Keeps clients busy, gives them responsibility and keeps them accountable for their actions. The facility itself is out of date and needs upgrades. Needs new beds and bedding severly. This facility releis highly on the table tale method, encouraging one another to tell a supervisor about even the most minor infractions with severe punishment. When I was able to come and visit due to the facility being so far away from home everyone was respectful and very polite, clients, supervisors and their families.
Caring staff .Do not help with after care. They are valuable because they are more affordable than most in OC.
Staff cared a lot about me and my peers. They were organized and knew what they were doing in terms of a treatment plan for me. They were able to put me in a good direction so when I got out I knew how to function more in society. Their spiritual guider was not religious nor pressed religion on anyone which was so helpful for me to be free in that area. They follow the 12 step program very well. A weakness is that it was expensive. I had such an amazing 3 months at the Knox house. Though it wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done it was the best thing. I listened to all of my case managers suggestions and she lead in in the right direction. They had a beautiful sense of community. They always brought love into everything. They definitely loved me until I could begin to love myself. I went in to their sober living which in now called connections. There I was still able to keep incomact with my case manager who helped me with any problem I had. Truly blessed to have gone to safe harbor.
