Desert Hopes IOP facility was an amazing experience. After spending 35 days in the main facility then being transferred and spending another 11 days in the IOP program I was really impressed. I came in broken and hopeless and left feeling like a new person who wants to live a new lifestyle. The females are housed in nice apartments that are fully furnished and all the food provided that you need and more. Programming throughout the day continues even in IOP and focuses on life when we return home. I was given so many needed tools.
Dual diagnosis refers to a situation where an individual is diagnosed with both a substance use disorder and a mental health disorder, such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD. Effective treatment for dual diagnosis involves addressing both conditions simultaneously, as they are often interconnected and can exacerbate each other. A dual diagnosis approach helps patients understand and manage both their addiction and mental health issues in order to achieve sustained recovery.
