I have been to 20 rehabs this is the one that changed my life . I have been a heroin addict since I was 14 years old . Staff is the best in the business! They helped me become a woman in recovery. I have 9 months clean .
The staff. The therapists are amazing. They know their stuff and are able to teach skills and explain the disease of addiction. They help you explore coping skills, treatment, and recovery. The staff really care about clients and want everyone to succeed. They focus on trauma and get down to the real issues(s) of why someone is acting out the way that they are. They work intensely with the individual and as a group. The therapist are trained in EMDR. There's equine therapy every week. UAC has a really good program and treats the root of the issue. They offer Aftercare also so that when you graduate the program you can come back to groups. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to get help with any addictions, depression, self harm, eating disorders, etc.
I have been in treatment 3 times and this time it stuck. The programs were not your typical all day group sessions. We did a lot of hiking, exercise, individual counseling mixed with a 12 step program as well. I really enjoyed my stay and program. The support of the counselors, group and individual along with the added outdoor activities in Zion National Park was exactly what I needed to have. I felt like I started living again for the first time in 10 years
There is no obligation to enter treatment and you can opt out at any time.
