I cannot overstate my appreciation for this facility. I think it's a magical place with a tremendous peer approach. I visit reunions annually and do an annual fundraiser for its benefit. I had an extremely brief / minor relapse, got back on my horse immediately with AA. Simply put, it worked. What I'd been unable to do for many years I could suddenly do.

I only needed to get away for a few days, so when the few days were up I was ready to go. Being away from "friends" was what I really needed, not a 12 step program. Medicating the clients was the main form of "treatment", I felt/feel this was not only ineffective but hypocritical. Only abstinence and 12 step, simple solutions for the simple minded. $22,000 for 15 days......the counselors were not qualified and the nurses, doctors, and CMAs were below par. The facilities were pretty nice, but there was only a 12 step traditional approach; no holistic approach at all. ... If you need a rigid 12 step program then this is the place for you!! ...
