Healing Pines Recovery treats addiction and dual diagnoses with evidence-based therapies, detox, medication-assisted treatment, and various holistic therapies. Men meet 1:1 with a licensed therapist several times a week, and weekly with a psychiatrist. Evidence-Based Care for Men’s Unique Needs Healing Pines Recovery creates a safe, accepting space for men to connect and navigate challenges. Their masters-level clinicians lead evidence-based therapies in 1:1 and group settings, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and 12-Step and non-12-Step support groups. Healing Pines Recovery uses evidence-based therapies to treat addiction at its roots and any co-occurring mental illnesses, traumas, and stress. Holistic Healing in Nature Men at Healing Pines Recovery enjoy daily holistic and experiential therapies, including physical labor on the ranch. Clients can regularly visit on-site donkeys and dogs. Off site, men can enjoy equine therapy and animal-assisted therapy with llamas, goats, and more. Healing Pines Recovery’s other experiential therapies include hiking, fishing, snowboarding, pickleball, basketball, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and pottery, among others. Family-Wide Recovery Healing Pines Recovery provides weekly family therapy and visitation hours. Loved ones can come on-site each Sunday to visit, privately meet with a family therapist, or have a family therapy session with the therapist and their loved ones. Healing Pines Recovery also allows tech use so men can stay in contact with family and any urgent work needs. After completing residential treatment, Healing Pines Recovery connects clients to further care—like intensive outpatient, sober living, or outpatient services.

Peaks Recovery Centers

Serenity Peaks is beyond amazing. I recently attended my daughter's graduation. It was one of the best moments in my life to see this take place and the love and support that came with it. She received so much love and support from not only her peers but each and every staff member at Serenity Peaks. She is six months sober and went for the 90 days program, extended her stay another 60 days and is now in Alumni (sober living) through Serenity Peaks. She went voluntarily but carried so much anger, sadness, resentment and pain that it was hard to break through that for the first several weeks. Eventually, with the love and community and amazing treatment from the staff she was able to tear down those walls she had build up so high and uncover some of the reasons for the pain that caused her to use in the first place. The most amazing part of her recovery is watching her love herself, seeing that she is worth it. It fills my heart up with pride and happiness to see the changes she has made. She shines bright and you can see happiness and worthiness in all her actions and in her smile. Serenity Peaks was the best decision we could have ever made. It was hard work for her and there were bad days as well as days to celebrate, but every bad day or let down always had a reason and a lesson in the end. Each and every addict is treated individually and each one is loved and cared for by the staff and by their community at Serenity Peaks. I wish every addict that wanted help could have a program like this to help give them the tools they need for recovery. I will forever be grateful to every single person at Serenity Peaks that changed my daughter's life. Her journey will continue with this incredible foundation that she learned through Serenity Peaks. I have so much faith in her strength and her recovery and know she is capable of anything ahead of her.

Denver Recovery Center

Our son attended their inpatient center. We thought things were going well, except for lack of family involvement as promised, until we discovered that he was prescribed a few drugs. The scariest one is a dangerous antipsychotic medication called seroquel for its off label use to treat anxiety and insomnia. Now he is addicted to that medication and is suffering very unpleasant withdrawals As he is attempting to stop the drug. He was completely unaware of the nature of the drugs he was on and trusted their doctor to his own detriment! Our son reports most patients are prescribed this very dangerous drug at their treatment center. Shameful!

AIM House, LLC

AIM is a good program with quality staff that understands the struggles and needs of its participants. I feel like I personally gained and learned more about myself during my time as a participant there than I did in my primary care. However; the program is only really suited to help those who WANT to be there. Many participants who "checked out" or saw it as a temporary stop before returning to their everyday lives seem to have struggled after leaving the program. They didn't take things like groups seriously and made little effort actually to improve themselves while being there, and my most considerable criticism of their work is that they do not try to change this mentality while there. It makes it harder for those who are actually trying to gain something from the experience when half the participants spend nearly every day criticizing the program simply because they do not want to be there or do not wish to be sober. That being said, for those who take advantage of all AIM has to offer, I can't think of a better place to transition back into the world. Many staff members have been through treatment themselves and work to help participants navigate the world post-treatment as well as provide them with numerous resources to help them succeed in their time after leaving AIM, everything from helping participants get into college, helping them with job placement, and continuing mentorship and therapy after leaving if they so choose. It has been some time since I was there myself, so it is possible things have changed in terms of the attitudes of participants, but I'll always be grateful for my time there. I believe if it wasn't for AIM supporting and encouraging me the way they did at such a critical point in my life I would have been a lot worse off today.
