MyFather spent a fortune on rehabs. When I came to the Lovelady center I was broke and broken 47 years old I thought it was too late for me. But God!!!The Lovelady center equip me with resources and tools I would need for recovery it was my decision to use them and I did my life has been forever changed never have I experience the love of Christ like I have at the Lovelady Center. I am now 51 with 3 year 11 months clean. I am going to school, work. My relationship with my family has been restored. I am walking free from addiction &abuse. I will forever be grateful. Matthew 25;35...
The family days we spent there were extremely useful. We were made more knowledgeable and received tools to help us better help our son with addiction. If he was able to stay there a year, maybe it would have helped, but 30 days is not enough time to help anyone. The group session after care was only of value to me because I felt less alone as a parent but I don't feel it was helpful to my child. And the price was extremely unreasonable.
I completed the program in 60 days and transferred to the after-care program (foundation). I'm now back in the main facility as a part-time night staff. It is a great faith based program it just needs more formal step study.
