I feel like a new person. As I look back on my time at OTC, I am filled with gratitude. From the beautiful campus to the top notch therapy team(especially Ambriel), I have got a new lease on life. In fact, I am still pinching myself to make sure it’s real. TA’s such as Kimberly, Vickie, Fred and Dee made me feel safe and secure. Not to mention they were there to help with anything I needed. If they couldn’t help me out they did what they could to find me help. That speaks volumes of their work ethic and character. The nursing staff actually listened to my concerns and correctly prescribed meds when needed. I feel some members of the staff could be more organized to help those coming in before/after their shifts, but overall I had a pleasant experience. Kim was/is extremely efficient and kind to us. Will never forget her. She’s also an excellent communicator. Lastly, the cafeteria staff were so friendly. Bc hey dealt with a lot of things that were out of their control and my heart goes out to them. I feel the quality of the meals were far below my expectations and the meals were not thought out well. Hotdogs with cabbage isn’t very appealing. There were times I witnessed people almost choking on the baked chicken bc it was so dry. Also, the cafeteria beverage area was filthy. The tables were not very clean either. My experience with the food service over all was the only real complaint I had with OTC.
This is one of best treatment centers to get sober and stay that way. Dani, my therapist in Oxford Mississippi is amazing as well as Shelby and all the other staff members. I couldn’t be anywhere better. I want to give a shout out to Barry, thank you
