Full continuum of care, trauma informed staff, utilizes MI, MET, CBT, experiential therapy. Specialized groups for IPV, Women, Men, COD. Offers suboxone for opiate dependence . Caring and compassionate staff, a full programming for monolingual Spanish speaking clients. Funding can make delivering appropriate services. The building is old, however new building coming soon. I have worked at the outpatient clinic for 10 years. I left for a year and returned a year later and have not left since. Many staff and clients return because of the positive experience

I can’t really compare my experience to anywhere else being it was my first experience in rehab. Treatment gets 3 stars because honestly i wasn’t ready to be serious. When my assigned counselor realized that tho, she automatically gave up on me and called me “a waste of a bed.” My 8.5 month old, who i never spent a day away from, got terribly sick and i had to beg for phone privileges on days that weren’t my phone days to check on her. No empathy at all. I ended up leaving ama bc i wasn’t able to contact her as much as any first time mother of a sick infant would’ve liked to. I just couldn’t concentrate on the program knowing she was sick and i wasn’t there. A lot of the staff are pretty cold. Not strict. Just cold. Very nice and clean place. They let u smoke. And meals were pretty good honestly. If ur distracted or not serious enough, just leave. Cuz they won’t give a flying fck about u or ur sobriety
Mount Sinai West - Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai
Location, insurance, assignments, nightly 12 step meetings in-house All on partial floor of hospital, no recreation, no creative activities, no guidance/opinion of 12 step. The aftercare placement was good --> placed me in halfway house. Took Medicaid, 1 on 1 counseling through but not incisive. No "lighthouse" of brilliance.
