I think they were an excellent facility. I wish my daughter had stayed longer. She left before her time was up. Seemed like a prison to me, but I know it has to be like that b/c of dealing with addiction. Someone had to be present when I visited. It took an act of Congress to get to visit her. Everything I took her had to be given to the front office for inspection b/4 they gave it to her. I found out some of the items I took her (like chapstick) were thrown out b/c they were against the rules. She had a full scholarship there and blew it. She left there b/c she didn't like being told how to parent. She also didn't want to enter the work program. She remains drug-free a year later, but still practices a lot of behaviors that could send her down the slippery slope. Not the facility's fault.

I was not able to come home to a strong IOP in my county. There was no female meetings. I had to eventually find a female sponsor on my own, start a women's meeting myself, but still have to drive across 2 counties to get to an IOP. I relapsed after 3 months but resumed sobriety immediately!
