Heather has been busy working with families since her graduation from Stony Brook University in NY with her bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology and Family Studies. She worked with community based agencies and the health insurance companies as an advocate/supervisor for Child Health Plus Program assisting families gain health insurance for children for 10 years. After moving to Florida to assist in the care of her aging mother with her sister, Heather sought out counseling for grief and loss through Equine Assisted Psycho-Therapy/Learning. Having experienced the amazing healing benefits of Equine Assisted Psycho-Therapy/Learning, Heather proceeded to pursue her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and graduated from Springfield College in 2012 and became certified by EAGALA the Model in Equine Assisted Psycho-Therapy.

Stephanie McEvoy grew up in New Jersey. She obtained her associates degree in Sciences and has a certificate in Human Services. Stephanie is currently our case manager and intake coordinator at Midwood Addiction Treatment. Her favorite part about her job is seeing the change and positivity in the client’s during their stay. In her free time Stephanie enjoys cooking and baking for her friends and family.

Mohammad Alhabbal is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) and the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), as well as a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). A graduate of the Damascus University Medical School in Damascus, Syria, Dr. Alhabbal completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Hospitalist Division. Dr. Alhabbal is also the principal of an addiction medicine/Medication Assisted Treatment practice located on the main campus of AdCare Hospital.
