If sunshine and fresh air are necessary for your well-being this is a great facility. You walk outside in the desert ecosystem to get anywhere and the grounds are beautiful. The chef is fabulous and you will get spoiled eating three nutritious, delicious meals a day. They offer several selections of main course, sides and soups, and a huge and scrumptious salad bar you can make a meal from. The addiction and mental health treatment is good and diverse like most facilities in this price range. They do only follow the 12-step program though. You can't beat the weather, grounds and food. You'll experience enough discomfort as you tackle your demons, might as well be in a pretty place and well fed while you do so. Weaknesses of the facility were: 12-step rather than SMART Recovery program, cost and absence of experiential therapy.

I am happy to say that 10 months ago I walked into a group of strangers, not having many expectations other than from myself. Was I wrong! From that time and every time I have since then, I have felt welcomed, warmth, support, and Love from everyone. I can say that I look forward to just stopping by and saying hello, although most of the time it’s for continued support through therapy. I found the wisdom and knowledge that they imparted on me was so much more than just tools to stay sober and live a happy fulfilling existence. I like to think of it as a long journey, through knowledge, empathy, and yes to get called out on bul….t! I have met so many people in therapy and see the impact each and every one of the staff have on these people, not least on me. I am so happy my first rehab experience was at SRC, they are truly wonderful and can’t thank them enough. I am so grateful and appreciative.
