A wonderful relaxing treatment center where adults are treated as adults. A compassionate and trained staff with a serene facility. It is has only 12 beds which makes for more one on one time. Sometimes clients that aren’t serious about recovery are not shown the door fast enough but that is in an attempt to help them find the way.
Oxford Treatment Center has truly changed my life for the better. When I arrived, I didn’t want to interact with anyone and I wanted to keep to myself. As a veteran law enforcement officer, I was reluctant to open up to my peers at first. But I soon realized that in order to be true to myself, I had to be honest with the people around me. This meant letting them know my struggles with alcohol brought on by the trauma that law enforcement and public safety. I started my journey in public safety at the age of seventeen as a volunteer firefighter. I then became a nationally registered emergency medical technician at age eighteen and worked on an ambulance off an on for several years. I chose to pursue a career in law enforcement and this also lead me to serving as deputy coroner for twelve years in my home county. I said all of this to make the point that no matter how important we perceive ourselves or our careers to be, the stronghold of addiction does not discriminate. My time at this facility has helped me draw closer to God and truly submit to him and have faith that he will help me recover and live a sober and prosperous life. I just want to thank Oxford Treatment Center and it’s faculty and staff for giving me the tools to succeed in sober life Thank you and God bless!!!!
Do your best to steer clear of Norma. I was laughed at when I told her my living situation. She\'s there for a paycheck. everyone else though will take good care of you and the nurses have a real big heart and a lot of the staff are in recovery as well. AAC helped me get into the Dallas facility immediately after leaving. And staff here were shocked to hear why I had left.
