Verify your coverageAt first, I hated this place. My therapist left and I got reassigned to a new one who was not on the level (bless her heart, I hope she's doing well now). My insurance dropped me halfway through, and when I called my provider, they told me they weren't receiving documents from the center. Then I dropped a dirty UA after coming coming back from an outside meeting (without having used, in any form at all), and the clinical director decided to not 'complete' my treatment. Also, they took the rock out thing away, which I was sore about for a little while (knowing I was being super petty). However, they did allow me to go to IOP after that fiasco, and I completed that. It was cool to have some extra accountability, and to finally fully complete something. During PHP, they took us to outside meetings, which was fantastic. I met a man who took me through a book and helped me find god behind paradise house (not flakes house, shameless plug). Being in this structured environment with an amazing case manager's assistance with FMLA leave from work was a huge help. They kept me separated from substances long enough to have an experience and a personality change. For that I am extremely grateful. I have since been engaged in hospitals and institutions work (for fun and for free) all across the country, and this place that I once hated for imagined slights, I now see is of a much higher caliber than all of the others I've been to. I consider myself lucky for having been here, and would suggest Pinnacle if a man were jittery or begged and required a definite hospital stay. 📘🛐
All of the modalities are very helpful. The staff is amazing at handling every aspect of treatment. Very relaxing surroundings. The beds are super comfy too! I was nervous to go to a treatment center because I wasnt sure what to expect. I was a shut-in alcoholic with a timeline of trauma and abuse that I had never dealt with through the years. If I didnt get help I was on the path to drinking myself to death. Everything from the intake calls to my first few days getting settled were just what I needed. A calm and encouraging voice and caring people that were there to help me feel comfortable enough to start the healing process. I truly cant say enough wonderful things about all of the staff. They were genuinely interested in my specific needs. I experienced several therapies that were extremely helpful to me, including equine therapy, neuro-feedback and EMDR. Art therapy was wonderful as well. Creative writing, Esotherapy, cranialsacral and massages were also some of my favorites. These modalities, along with the awesome therapists really made the beginning of my journey a huge success! Im over 6 weeks sober now and I feel like I have a new lease on life! Im so grateful for Sabino and my resident mates as well. I cant wait to go back for the alumni celebration next year__
1 review 5.0 star rating 5/23/2017 I was a client at canyon crossing and my experience was life changing. I have two years and two months sober. I'm starting grad school this fall to follow my dream to become a therapist with a speciality in equine assisted mental health. The owners and staff took personal interest in my care and recovery. They showed me love and through that love they taught me how to love myself. I know how to show up for life as a responsible adult today. I'm still in Prescott and meet the new girls at canyon to show them what sisters in recovery look like. Canyon Crossing has a special place in my heart. I also worked for Canyon for a few months as a house manner. I had lots of support from the staff, therapist and owners. They were always just a phone call away when i need help or an answer to something. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to an organization that gave me my life back.
