Gratitude Lodge - Long Beach
Gratitude Lodge was very helpful in my recovery journey. They allowed me to bring my dog which was awesome because I wouldn't have got sober without him. They also helped me with FMLA and short-term disability so my job was safe when I got home. The facilities, staff and meals are great. However they take your phone and computer away so you lose a week of your like. You’re unable to communicate with work, with loved ones for support, take classes, you can’t time since there are no clocks in the room. Your in a state of limbo waiting for someone to tell you what to do. It added to my depression, I spent the first 4 days laying in bed not being able to work on my life or call my loved ones.
