Peer support on hand 24/7. The clients get to focus on recovery without being in an inpatient facility. They also get to learn life skills ie budgeting and others early on. The sober housing also gives not only a safe place for clients, but comradery with the other clients. Giving them the opportunity to put in to practice what they\'ve learned or share in what they are going through.
Turning Leaf General CSTAR
The teaching was exceptional, I have been to 8 treatment centers and Turning Leaf was on a much higher plane of instruction, so my last treatment center experience was the best, I felt relived leaving thier, more secure in my recovery than an any other times. It was the fact that girls and quys can get treatment, but have a policy to be 10 feet away from them, no one on one hooking up, and I truly respected that. Don't quote me on the distance, I forgot, but overall I was given much better materials to learn from instead of the same ole stuff I normally got.
Aviary Recovery Center - Kirkwood
I attended Northbound Outpatient Treatment in Kirkwood, and completed their three month program. Having been to several treatments over the years, Northbound was far and away the most effective treatment that I have ever participated in. They have some of the best counselors, not to mention people in general, that I have ever met. They genuinely care about their clients, and show that with a willingness to be available to them day or night, even outside of normal program hours. Their methods of connecting with clients and responding to their issues are, from my experience, one of a kind and extremely effective. If you, or a loved one, are struggling with any type of substance abuse, I would without a doubt recommend Northbound.
