Bob Mays Recovery Center is absolutely wonderful. There is nothing whatsoever that I can say negatively. The staff is so caring. I really miss all of them. I learned so much and thanks to them and myself, I am remaining clean and sober!

Williamson Comprehensive Treatment Center

This place has become absolutely pathetic. It use to be a great place to help with addictions but obviously the only care about money because they definitely don’t care about the patients. They NEVER answer the phones and you better not expect them to do what they say, because only you are expected to follow the rules. This clinic has become the biggest joke and sadly the people there needing their help are who suffers. The counselors will literally hang up on you when they get tired of hearing the phones ringing. Go somewhere else.

About West Virginia

West Virginia is located in the eastern United States with a population of approximately 1.8 million people.1 Known as the “Mountain State,” West Virginia is characterized by its rugged, natural beauty and diverse geography, including the Appalachian Mountains, the Ohio River Valley, and the Allegheny Plateau. The state is also home to many unique attractions, such as the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, the Greenbrier Resort, and the historic town of Harpers Ferry.

West Virginia has a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, crafts, and festivals, such as the Appalachian String Band Festival and the Mountain State Forest Festival. The state is also known for its coal mining history and is often referred to as the “Coal State.” Despite its challenges, West Virginia is a resilient and welcoming state with a strong sense of community and pride.

Addiction in West Virginia

West Virginia has been heavily impacted by drug misuse and addiction with the state unfortunately becoming the bedrock for the ongoing opioid epidemic. West Virginia remains the state with the highest rate of overdose deaths in the country, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Roughly 91 out of every 100,000 residents in the state die as a result of a fatal drug overdose.2

Opioid misuse is the main driver behind these overdose fatalities and is present throughout West Virginia. As stated in a report conducted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, approximately 9,000 residents of the state reported heroin use within the past year, 47,000 reported prescription pain reliever use, and about 15,000 reported having an opioid use disorder.3

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

Insurance coverage for addiction treatment varies based on your insurance provider, plan, and specific treatment needs. However, most insurance plans will at least partially cover addiction treatment. Therefore, you should contact your insurance provider to learn more about your coverage and how to use it to pay for treatment.

If you are uninsured, there are still options available to help cover the cost of addiction treatment. State-funded treatment centers, also known as publicly funded treatment centers, offer addiction treatment services to individuals who are unable to afford private treatment. These centers are typically operated by state or local governments and offer a range of services, including detox, inpatient, and outpatient programs.

Length of Stay in Rehab

When it comes to addiction treatment, there are various options for the length of stay, depending on your needs and circumstances. The most common durations for rehab programs are 30-days, 60-days, and 90-days. These programs provide a structured and supportive environment for you to focus on your recovery and develop skills and strategies to manage your addiction.

In addition to shorter-term programs, long-term rehab is another option. Long-term rehab programs typically last between 6 months to 2 years, depending on your treatment needs and the specific facility or program you are enrolled in. These programs provide intensive and ongoing support as you work to overcome your addiction and address both the physical and psychological aspects of your substance use disorder.
