Kind, caring doctors that work with you. Do not file insurance. Very involved staff, lots of treatment options
Asheville Recovery Center saved my life. I had been to 5 treatment programs before, and nothing helped me like the staff at ARC. They really care, and made me feel important. ARC is like a family and I am so glad they accepted me.
I think they were an excellent facility. I wish my daughter had stayed longer. She left before her time was up. Seemed like a prison to me, but I know it has to be like that b/c of dealing with addiction. Someone had to be present when I visited. It took an act of Congress to get to visit her. Everything I took her had to be given to the front office for inspection b/4 they gave it to her. I found out some of the items I took her (like chapstick) were thrown out b/c they were against the rules. She had a full scholarship there and blew it. She left there b/c she didn't like being told how to parent. She also didn't want to enter the work program. She remains drug-free a year later, but still practices a lot of behaviors that could send her down the slippery slope. Not the facility's fault.
There is no obligation to enter treatment and you can opt out at any time.
