I am very stubborn. My stay at Cri-Help was 3 years in a row. The most important piece of information that finally registered in my thick skull from recovering addicts that work at Cri-Help was this: "When the student is ready the teacher appears." When I had no money, Cri-Help gave me a bed, took me to meetings, structured my life, showed me how to live by the honor system, helped me find a job, showed me how to save money and become a responsible productive member of society, living clean & sober. Cri-Help provided food, medical assistance from the County of Los Angeles, and all they asked of me was to give back to the suffering addict. Today I live in Houston, Texas, and still have not forgotten the love Cri-Help and the staff of some of the most amazing people I have encountered in my life. I love you and thank you for loving me.

I came in here being so rude and out of my mind- they all treated me so wonderful even though I was being ridiculous. This place saved my life and has made me keep striving to stay sober. The daily groups are incredible and have really helped me get to the root of why I am an addict.
