I have been to treatment several times and I never cared what happened to me during my relapses and runs. I came to RU as a last minute effort to make my family happy and to get them off my back. To my surprise, I stayed and was able to get back into a hobby I sacrificed in order to get high: creating music. The one on one therapy was at first non existence but once I said something I met with my therapist alot. Groups were fun and forced me to grow up and deal with my issues This place is magical and I graduated to the half way and npw enjoying the IOP only negative is when it gets full it is chaotic but so worth staying

35 years old with 3 kids living with alcohol as my only coping skill for any problem is not somewhere a person wants to find themself. Until I attended Banyan that was me, miserable, hiding anysort of feeling or emotion with alcohol and or drugs and no form of God active in my life. Banyan thought me life skills and ways to combat these feelings in a healthy way, I also attended the Christian program and that was the best decisions I've made in 20 plus years. I'm happy more than not, I smile, there is purpose...now life is never always going to be rainbows and unicorns, anyone that claims that is full of you know what,but it sure is a lot more MANAGEABLE with the skills I learned from the staff and techs at Banyan.
