Melanie has counseled hundreds of clients in residential treatment. She is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and she has a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Addiction Studies. Melanie has obtained her MA in Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She has worked in several residential treatment facilities and intensive outpatient programs. Melanie is experienced with clients of all ages and she has extensive experience working with families. She practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused techniques, and is EMDR trained. She takes an existential attitude with any approach she employs. She is passionate about her work and believes freedom from addiction is available to all who are willing to work a recovery program.

Jeremiah joined American Addiction Centers in 2015 as the Greenhouse Alumni Coordinator. Originally, from Washington State, Jeremiah is, himself, an alumnus of Greenhouse. Because he has seen first-hand how addiction hurts people and destroys families, he is proud to be in a position to work with other Greenhouse alums, supporting the constructive process of recovery. Planning events, talking with clients, and raising awareness are just a few of his goals with our Alumni graduates.

Nicole Bower was born in Houston and raised in Bastrop, Texas. She graduated in 2000 from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Psychology and got her MBA in healthcare management in 2008. She began working with people receiving mental health and substance abuse treatment in 2000. It was at the age of 13 that Nicole first discovered her passion; to help those who struggle with mental health and addiction. Her desire intensified as she grew older, witnessing firsthand the struggles of addiction in her close family members. Nicole is an important asset to the Banyan team. As the Executive Director of Banyan Treatment Centers, she gets the opportunity to define and develop a system that fosters the lives of clients in addiction treatment. Nicole promotes a collaborative culture in Banyan, which creates successful outcomes for clients. “Every human being deserves compassion, dignity, and respect… and it is our responsibility to ensure every person has the tools needed to be successful!”
