Gold Bridge Treatment Center

First treatment experience and I was nervous at first, to say the least. But that quickly went away after meeting the techs, counselors, other clients, nurses, etc. There's zero judgment. They simply welcome you with open arms, educate and converse/discuss with you, and most of all help you help yourself. I had a plan and felt armed to the teeth when I completed treatment, and still do. This isn't a mega-corporate national franchise-type place. It's a group of smart, experienced, patient professionals with giant hearts who've created a great environment for real, life-changing growth. I will forever have a special place in my heart thanks to this group, and every day I carry out my plan is a testament to their success.

About Kansas

Kansas is located in the Midwestern region of the United States. With a population of over 2.9 million people1, Kansas is recognized for its geography, including rolling hills, vast prairies, and the Flint Hills. The state is also home to a rich history, with landmarks such as the historic Dodge City and the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site, which played a key role in the Civil Rights Movement.

Kansas is often associated with agriculture and the famous “Bleeding Kansas” conflict that preceded the Civil War. The state has a strong cultural heritage, with Native American tribes, pioneer settlers, and Western cowboys all contributing to the unique identity of Kansas. Today, Kansas is known for its vibrant arts scene, outdoor recreation opportunities, and friendly communities.

Addiction in Kansas

Like many states in the US, Kansas has been impacted by the opioid epidemic and other forms of substance abuse. According to the Substance Abuse and mental health Services Administration, approximately 6.8% of the population in Kansas (which equates to roughly 162,000 people) had a substance use disorder between 2017 and 2019. This prevalence rate is comparable to the national average of 7.4%.2

In Kansas, there were 403 overdose deaths reported in 2019 and, by 2021, that number increased to 680 drug overdose fatalities.3 This spike was attributed to the increased use of opioids which were involved in 63% of the 2021 overdose deaths.4

Addiction Treatment in Kansas

There are several levels of addiction treatment that you will find in Kansas. They include:

  • Detox: Detox is often the first step in treatment for addiction. Detox programs provide medical supervision and support during the withdrawal process from drugs or alcohol.
  • Inpatient Treatment: Inpatient treatment involves a stay at a residential facility for the duration of a treatment program in which individuals receive intensive therapy and support.
  • Outpatient Treatment: Outpatient treatment allows individuals to receive treatment while continuing to live at home and attending regular therapy sessions and support groups.

Many addiction treatment programs in Kansas also offer specialized therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care, or specialized programs for specific populations such as the LGBTQ+ community and military veterans.

In addition to traditional treatment options, there are also luxury rehabs that offer high-end amenities such as private rooms, gourmet meals, and recreational facilities. Private-funded rehabs may also be an option. These programs are funded through private insurance or self-pay and may offer more individualized treatment options.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

You can use your insurance to help pay for drug and alcohol rehab in Iowa since most insurance providers are required to at least partially cover the cost of addiction treatment in the state. However, the exact extent of coverage may vary depending on your insurance plan and the treatment center you choose. Therefore, it is important to contact your insurance provider to determine your coverage and understand any out-of-pocket costs you may be responsible for.

If you are uninsured, do not worry. There are still options available for accessing addiction treatment in Iowa. State-funded treatment centers offer affordable or free services to those who qualify based on income and other factors. These centers may offer a range of services, including detox, inpatient, and outpatient treatment, and may also provide medication-assisted treatment and other therapies.

Length of Stay in Rehab

When seeking addiction treatment in Kansas, there are various options for the duration of treatment depending on your needs and circumstances. The most common durations for addiction treatment programs include 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day programs. These programs typically involve a combination of therapy, counseling, and other supportive services aimed at helping individuals overcome addiction and develop the skills and tools necessary to maintain their sobriety.

If you suffer from more complex addiction issues, longer-term rehab may be necessary. Long-term rehab programs typically last between 6 months to 2 years and can provide more comprehensive treatment. These programs often include a combination of intensive therapy, counseling, and life skills training to help you not only overcome your addiction but also develop the necessary tools and skills to maintain your sobriety over the long-term.

Recovery Starts Today

Finding the right addiction treatment program is crucial if you are seeking recovery from addiction. By taking the time to explore different treatment options, you can find a program that addresses your unique needs and circumstances, giving you the best chance for lifelong recovery. Whether it’s a short-term or long-term program, public or private, it’s essential to seek out help and work with qualified professionals to create a customized treatment plan that supports long-term sobriety and a healthier, happier life.
