The whole staff from management to housekeeping to maintenance did a stellar job of meeting my needs. I will be eternally grateful.
I loved this facility with the exception of my counselor. He led my process group 3 days out of the week. He talks too much & he doesnt seem to fully understand substance abuse/addiction. I didnt agree with a majority of the things he chose to discuss during groups or his process groups. He was unorganized & would ask me the same questions over & over. He waited until the last minute to complete my discharge paperwork & even forgot to get my signature. I was flying out that morning. Hes a nice guy and means well, but I wish I had requested a different counselor earlier on at my stay there. The other counselors and staff are phenomenal. The ranch is set on beautiful land. Accommodations were great as well. PrTMS was very beneficial for me, although it is extremely expensive. Overall it was a great atmosphere and Im very grateful I got the opportunity to go there. Great treatment opportunities. Great staff available for working the steps. Cleaning crew & meals provided. Allow clients to use phones every day. My specific counselor. Ranch is located so far out that it was strenuous going to outside meetings in San Antonio. Also they seem to be very understaffed as well.
I was given the choice to go back home or go to a rehab. I had no idea where I was going til I landed in Brownsville, Tx and driven to the Admin office at Origins....Spending my 41-st Birthday unexpectedly absolutely sucked. However, listening to their advice I took it and ran with it. I attended the 90-in house intense rehab followed by 30-transitions, and 7-months of Sober living 2000+miles away from home. 11-months into sobriety I moved back home and today I am 3+years sober. My sobriety date is 01/15/2012..
