Ascend Recovery
Don\'t listen to the few bad reviews. The majority of the reviews are 5 stars on every review site I\'ve seen, and they are correct. This treatment center saved my life. I went there when I was 19. After completing the program, I relapsed, and they welcomed me back with open arms and no judgement. I have now been sober 18 months and I can truly say, without Ascend, I would be dead. The therapists are top notch, the owner truly cares about you, even if he\'s bad at showing it. I regularly attend their aftercare program, and have been for the past 3 years. The 3 steps of treatment(In patient>Transitional>Sober Living) is what really separates Ascend from other treatment centers. By doing this, they slowly give you more responsibility as you get back on your feet. Most places will do 30 days, take your money, and kick you to the curb. Not Ascend. You can call any staff member, from any level of care(including the owner) 24/7 and they will be there to help. I have never experienced a treatment center that cares as much as Ascend does. After completing the program, I have continued to live in Salt Lake City and attend AA meetings. What really sticks out to me is how many Ascend alumni are in those meetings, and have managed to string together a good amount of clean time. Even though Ascend is smaller than most other treatment centers in Utah, they have more alumni with years of sobriety than any other treatment center in Utah. Acqua Recovery
A lot of different types of programming. Great accommodations. Amazing therapy. I felt a great sense of community here at Acqua. The staff always had my best interest in mind and were easy to go to. The residents really get to know each other well and are all very encouraging. This was a lot different than what I expected out of rehab. I would definitely recommend Acqua Recovery to friends or family.
Turning Point Centers
Turning Point Centers saved my life, period. That\'s the reason I went there. Not for some fancy rehab experience. I had been to two other treatment centers and found that both of them were just AA on steroids with some superficial counseling and a fair amount of \"you\'re not doing it right\" thrown in for good measure. That didn\'t work for me after 10 years of trying to get clean. I had an enormous amount of guilt and shame along with a lot of thinking errors that just kept getting in the way. At Turning Point I really felt valued as an individual and that my perspective mattered, and I was able to let go of a lifetime of suffering. In groups and counseling sessions is where the program really counted. When I walked out the door I knew I had left my addiction behind. The food was good and the activities were fine, not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. At the end of the day I am sober and healthy because of this program and the fact it has amazing staff that authentically cared about my well being. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and have stayed in touch with the owners since 2008, who actually are great people and not just in it \"for the money\".
