Clay Crossing
I was skeptical about coming after reading some reviews but I'm glad that I did. I learned things about my addiction that I never knew about. I learned why triggers are triggers and how to handle them. It wasn't easy but nothing in life is if its worthwhile. Very caring staff and great counselors. They don't fall for your crap so if that's what you're looking for forget it. The facility itself is older but what you would call comfortable and relaxing. I thank everyone at Clay Crossing for my treatment. I've been sober 11 months now.
Narconon Arrowhead
My son was on painkillers, then heroin for ten years. He went to Narconon Arrowhead and has succeeded in staying off all drugs for three years. It took me a while to write this review because we have learned that heroin is the ultimate of human battles, and after years of heroin we didn't dare hope for miracles. But we've had three years of our son being off drugs, and recently he's gotten a lot happier because he's been employed for a year and he got a promotion. And he even started taking some classes. So the first year out of rehab was challenging finding a job and putting life back together again, and now things are so much better that he's sincerely enjoying life and is pursuing goals. Anyone out there, please don't give up. People do prevail over drugs. Thank you, Narconon, for saving my son's life and giving him back his freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Red Rock Behavioral Health Services - Jordan's Crossing
Strengths: Very structured, they kept us busy all day & evenings with groups. Meals were healthy & tasted good. Junk food was a rare treat & only small servings. I struggled a lot not having chocolate or candy but they did it to help us get healthy and not gain a ton of weight. Weaknesses: Family/loved ones are not welcome to participate in our recovery. Visits & phonecalls are so limited I felt isolated and depressed not having contact with anyone on the outside, especially my 4 year old daughter. I have bipolar I disorder and no one seemed to understand that after 6 days of no meds (they threw them away), why I was so unstable. I was sent to a crisis stabilization unit 15 miles away for 7 days to get my meds back & wind-down from mania. They give no meds/relief for withdrawals, no nicotine patches or gum. Its rough. I believe what Jordan's Crossing has to offer is valuable and a person can be successful there in recovery. They focus on healthy lifestyle, taking responsibility, no whining, self-sufficiency. If you need much empathy, or struggle with tightly structured settings/schedules, or have a significant mental health issue, this may not be the right fit. I was unhappy there but I saw women who had been there 30-60 days who spoke highly of the program and stated it saved their life. It is not a bad place and if you work their program I believe you CAN recover and feel good about it when you leave.
