Free treatment for Homeless Veterans with good relations with local agencies and job assistance when a client completes the program. Food could be better. Good program to help Homeless Veterans, such as myself to get off the streets. I am receiving HUD VASH which pays 100% of my rent in a little studio apt. for over three years. Also has good job placement resources to help find a job.
Desert Hope Treatment Center
The staff and treatment in general are amazing but some of the meals could improve. I had throat cancer and cant swallow hard food or snacks. They put me on a special diet but ive never received a soft diet. Just the same as everyone else. Also they only put out a small tray of snacks twice a day. Its not enough for everyone here and if you arent right beside the tray waiting when they put them out they are gone in about one minute. Most are hard snacks anyway and i cant eat them. That really needs to b improved. Most treatment centers have a snack area that stays stocked 24/7. That cuts back on people hoarding. Thanks!!
