John Volken Academy - Seattle
This program saved my son's life! I honestly don't have one negative thing to say about it. We have been at other rehabs and there is a no comparison. They completely strip their lifestyle and rebuild it from the ground up. They emphasize hard work, peer support, honesty, accountability and much much more. John Volken is the most selfless man I've ever met. He is truly in this to help addicts, in his words "addicts have a song to sing," and this program gives them the chance to sing that song. Lakeside-Milam Recovery Centers
My counselor read me like a book. I would say, the counselors are the strength. I really can't think of any weakness, it worked for me!! I was a patient back in 2004. I put myself into Lakeside. I had excellent family support, as well as great support from my counselor. I have recommended Lakeside to 2 individuals whom asked me where I did my treatment. I believe, if you are sick and tired of the way your life is, because of the alcohol or drugs that your addicted to, and you've admitted to yourself, that it's time to get help, Lakeside-Milam has the tools to give you. They will work hard to help you to help yourself, to get clean and sober, and they will teach you the tools that you will need to use once you are discharged from their facility. They also have an amazing follow-up program.
Lakeside-Milam Recovery Center - Burien Inpatient
Love the lectures, they are great at sharing their experiences and knowledge in a way that the kids can relate to. We are in a state that does not allow lock down facilities for teens or adults. This facility deals with teens and they tell the kids not to let door hit them on the way out. Facility has moved the 19 to 25 year old females from the adult facility to the adolescent facility where these females are allowed to smoke and the others are not, with their smoking area being outside the windows of the kids, triggering those who smoke. Facility is located in a not so nice areaFacility used to do "family week" where the parents could attend and learn more about addiction. They need to change the way they handle kids leaving the facility.
