Learn More About Laguna Treatment

What is the duration of addiction treatment programs?
The duration of addiction treatment programs can vary depending on the individual's needs and circumstances but commonly range from 30 to 90 days.
What is the cost of addiction treatment programs?
The cost of addiction treatment programs can vary depending on the type and length of treatment, but many facilities offer financial assistance and payment plans to help make treatment more affordable. Treatment is an investment in your future, and we believe everyone who needs it should be able to access it. We can help verify your insurance coverage at an AAC facility in just a few minutes, and determine the best way to pay for care.
Will my health insurance cover the cost of addiction treatment?
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) is considered an essential benefit. This means that many health insurance plans cover some, if not all, of the cost of addiction treatment, but coverage may vary depending on the provider and the type of treatment received.
What types of therapies are used in addiction treatment?
Therapies used in addiction treatment can include various behavioral therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and more.
Facility Highlights
  • Hospital-Based Medical Detox
As Orange County’s first chemical dependency recovery hospital, we are fully equipped to safely usher you or your loved one through what can be a challenging time. We utilize detox medications and the 24/7 support of medical staff to keep you comfortable and prevent medical complications as you overcome your physical dependence on drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Medication-Assisted Treatment
In medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, which should only ever occur under a doctor’s supervision, individuals replace the opioid they’re addicted to with a longer-acting opioid like buprenorphine or methadone that doesn’t produce the same euphoria produced by the misused drug.
  • Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing fosters a collaborative therapeutic alliance between the therapist and the patient, enabling the patient to discover their intrinsic motivation for change.
  • Comprehensive Patient Assessments
Our team of dedicated and skilled professionals offer comprehensive assessments for each patient, helping us to determine what their individualized care will look like.
  • On Campus Pool Facility
  • Chronic Relapse Track
At Laguna, we offer a chronic relapse track for patients who struggle with maintaining their sobriety, even after receiving treatment.
  • SMART Recovery
SMART recovery is a peer-supported program where participants can work together to control their addictive tendencies.
  • Seeking Safety
Seeking safety is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that can help patients experiencing comorbid PTSD and substance use disorder.

Areas of Specialization
  • Aftercare Support
Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Facilities that offer aftercare planning and/or support work with patients to ensure sustainable recovery by helping to plan and make arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc.
  • Individualized Treatment
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
  • Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.
  • 12-Step Involvement
The term “12-Step Program” describes a way to recover from addiction that is based on the model developed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Many drug and alcohol treatment centers base their treatment on 12 steps. The first 3 steps are situational, the next 4 address the practical issues created by the addiction, and the next 2 steps focus on making amends for hurting others. Steps 10 and 11 involve a deeper examination of the previous steps and the final step is focused on helping others avoid and recover from addiction.
  • Treatment of Medical Comorbidities
Our team of experienced professionals and bright young talent work together to provide compassionate patient care for all patients, including those who have medical comorbidities. We can treat a wide variety of medical comorbidities and offer supportive care, such as pairing a diet specific to the patients needs and providing regular monitoring and care.

I've been clean 14 months. Im here to get off 24mg Sub for 7/years. Very comfortable, caring staff, positive atmosphere. This has been the least uncomfortable detox I've had. Proper meds but u need to self advocate to stand out from med seekers.
