This program saved my son's life! I honestly don't have one negative thing to say about it. We have been at other rehabs and there is a no comparison. John Volken is the most selfless man I've ever met. He is truly in this to help addicts, in his words "addicts have a song to sing," and this program gives them the chance to sing that song. How do you thank someone who provides a program that saves your son's life and asks nothing in return? There are no words.
Rites of Passage Wilderness Programs
I went through this program in October of 2019. Not only did I learn survival skills but I learned that when people work as a team. I did go through 8 days of nothing but rain which was not all that fun but you can't stop nature from doing its thing. I highly recommend this program because it allows kids like me to do things like light fires and have time away from the constant noise that the city life causes. I feel like I have become a better person through this experience.
