Welcome to Willamette Family, providing a warm and nurturing environment for individuals and families seeking substance abuse and/or mental health treatment. We offer the highest degree of professionalism and care available for addiction services. Willamette Family is also one of the select agencies in the nation that operates its own Child Development Center, where children may stay with their mothers while their mothers are participating in our treatment program. For over forty-five years Willamette Family has been assisting clients and families on the journey of recovery. Willamette Family uses evidence based therapies that are specific to meeting the needs of men, women and children and promotes proven methods of recovery.

Individualized Treatment
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.Individual Therapy
This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.

Meet the Staff
- Susie Dey, MSW, QMHP Executive DirectorSusie Dey is the new Executive Director of Willamette Family, Inc. She was the Director of Women's Residential & Behavioral Health Services and also was the Child Welfare branch manager for Lane County for 21 years, in addition to many years of direct casework and supervisory experience in both Oregon and California. She has been with Willamette Family since 2005 where she draws upon her child welfare and community experience to integrate the needs of children and families with addictions treatment services. Susie managed and supervised Children and Family Programs, and co-directed mental health services. She has an MSW from Arizona State University as well as a BA from California State University at Fullerton. Susie is part of several community initiatives, including United Way of Lane County’s Success by Six Leadership Team and the University of Oregon’s F.E.A.T. project.
- Mark AppelbaumDirector of FinanceMark Appelbaum joined the agency in March 2013 as Director of Finance. He oversees the agency’s fiscal responsibilities, H.R. department and I.T. operations. He had prior not for profit human services work experience as CFO for Alvord-Taylor, Inc. After moving with his family to Eugene in 1999, he served as Controller for States Industries, Inc. and Oregon Rubber Co. before entering the human services field. He has a Master in Accounting from Clarkson University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Minnesota. He is married with three children and is a running enthusiast.
