    About The Ridge Ohio

    The Ridge is a premium care, 12-step drug and alcohol treatment center in rural Cincinnati. It’s located on 51 scenic acres, which provides anonymity and comfort for clients in the recovery process. Many know us as the premier non-hospital program in the Midwest. With only 15 beds, we are able to provide intensive, focused treatment that includes CBT, education on the disease of addiction and how to manage it, frequent family groups and 1 year of aftercare for relapse prevention. We also have a psychiatrist on staff for mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and bipolar disorder. Our unique aspects include: Physician management led by a board-certified addictionologist, intensive family participation, 13-month length (including aftercare), frequent exercise/recreation, healthy hearty chef-prepared meals and the ability to privately care for our clients needs.

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
      The addiction specialists at The Ridge combine 12-step programs with CBT in order to help patients understand and accept they have an addiction, they must learn to manage, rationally, in a focused, deliberate manner. Cognitive behavioral therapy enables clients to recognize patterns of drug and alcohol abuse, and equips them with the knowledge and power to avoid relapse during aftercare.
    • Recreation and Nutrition
      While achieving sobriety is the clients’ first priority, it’s essential they regain health and wellness. A healthy body feels more comfortable, energetic, and balanced, contributing to the continuance of a sober lifestyle. The Ridge helps achieve this thru a balanced program of nutrition and exercise. We also have recreational activities outside of the ridge that allow clients to have fun again without using.
    • Family Program
      Research shows the odds of successful, sustained addiction recovery are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Thus, The Ridge averages 6 family groups per month. Drug and alcohol addiction often has genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics often play a role in addiction, and it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.
    • The Midwest’s Most Focused Care
      We are a small addiction recovery facility with only 15 beds. Our strong staff-to-patient ratio ensures each client has sufficient attention from our talented and experienced staff of physicians, nurses, and credentialed chemical-dependency counselors.
    • Aftercare
      Our founding Physicians made sure our program features 1 year of aftercare, for those able to access it, immediately following the Ridge (one 90-minute meeting per week for 52 weeks), since they believe the best way to avoid relapse is to continue long-term therapy. We do not charge extra for after so there is no hardship to attend. Our recovery statistics are much higher for those who complete aftercare vs. those who do not.

    While a nice facility, with great food, the program is extremely weak, and the staff is very poorly trained. For the exorbitant cost associated with it, it was extremely disappointing. I will not recommend loved ones or friends here in the future.

    The ridge seriously is the best place ever if you have someone I active addiction. They were absolutely amazing during admission, throughout the stay, & getting him healthy!!! Almost 60 days, and also quit smoking cigarettes!!! 1000000000% recommend.

    Mary Jo is a very caring person and all the staff there is pretty phenomenal. It’s a nice rehab and remember this is not a vacation. This is a place to go and get better.

    IF you are looking for inmate-like respect with changing rules, this 12-step program and a nice setting, rates vary w/insurance "Quite frankly, I don't care why," was often said. "Who is working dictates which (ridiculous) rules are enforced"

    The employees are on a power trip and forget that we paid thousands of dollars. They need to understand it isn't a public facility.
