The Oaks not only changed my life but also saved my life. Day 1 was so hard to want to stay, day 30 was so hard to leave. You truly make lasting friendships. I love that the group leaders once went through the exact same thing that some of the others people have been through or were going through.

Nightmare is the only fitting word. The living facilities are old and dirty, you see each doctor once for maybe 10 minutes in your whole stay. The staff are extremely unprofessional and really don\'t care, they are only there because it\'s a job. You must wait in very long lines for meds and clients fight over who was there or cut the line and staff doesn\'t nothing. Also the nurse opens whenever she/he feels like it, not keeping posted times. They don\'t explain phone list that if you don\'t get on it you\'re s.o.l and they don\'t care about your personal faith because they pick what church they want and won\'t tell you what, where or type and offer no other faith support, not online or any other way. Detox is a nightmare... The area this place is located is very dangerous and the pictures you see on the site is a completely separate building, not where you are staying. Complete bait and switch. I could go on and on with the issues, please save your money and time. There is real help from real ppl who care out there, but they don\'t work here.

Less than 24 hours after returning from this facility, my spouse was drinking. We identified that my spouse needed more psychiatric help than the typical addiction recovery. This was their third time at inpatient care. This dual diagnosis facility barely meets that standard. It didn\'t seem like the counselors were listening or even making an attempt to listen. The management of the place is out of touch and dismissive of valid concerns. The web site lies about this facility\'s location. This facility is in a very bad neighborhood of Memphis. The area has some of the highest urban blight in the nation as well as crime rate. Save your money and find another place. This place is very little about getting people well and more about money. No Hippocratic oaths adhered to here.

This place stinks! They say it\'s going to cost you a set amount, then after you get there they say \"oh by the way you will have to pay extra for labs\" Then you get sent to collections because the lab doesn\'t know your address. Also once your insurance isn\'t paying at inpatient level of care they will kick you out if you don\'t want to pay extra to stay. They get you there then it is a whole new story!!!!!!

Most of the counseling staff are in recovery or has first hand experience with addiction/recovery. Difficult to change Doctors. This facility was just what I needed! You have a team of Doctors, counselors, and educators helping to make the most of your time there, really felt I wasn't alone and in good hands.
