I was extremely frightened to walk through those doors, but once I was inside I was treated with nothing but compassion and kindness. The staff is amazing, and for me, made a huge impact as most of them are in recovery. That in return brought a sense of understanding and patients. The groups are very educational and I also made some life-long friends. Northpoint saved my life.

My stay at Northpoint was my 3rd trip to inpatient treatment and by far the best. The counseling and classes were much more thorough. Trips away for mind and body wellness and to both NA and AA meetings were incredibly valuable. I\'m now 4.5 years sober and I still am involved thru alumni support groups.

My name is Eric and I was a patient at NorthPoint in Boise. Having been through several centers in my illustrations career of addiction and alcoholism I wasn’t very open minded about what I was getting into. By sticking to my decision of staying there I was able to emerge from the fog and see again with clear vision. The staff is pretty good, the techs especially. Most of them are in recovery and there isn’t much they haven’t experienced themselves or witnessed in their stay. If you have a loved one suffering with addiction and are considering treatment this is a great place. But keep in mind, it took years in most cases to really make a mess in life, a 28 day stay isn’t going to fix everything. It’s a chance to gather some new tools or polish off some old ones to gradually repair the wreckage by making the next right choice. It doesn’t get them off the hook but hopefully gives you a little understanding.
