Harmony House Recovery House

My loved one has been there a month and getting high the whole time, they just did and it’s ok to as long as your rent is paid, they won’t test you.

When I arrived my room was filthy, the sheets hadn't been cleaned, the entire house was filthy, dilapidated, and ridden with bed bugs. The upstairs toilet leaks dirty toilet water into the downstairs bathroom, all over the sink and toilet. The backyard is filled with old broken furniture thrown about and trash piled on the one side of the house. The owner lives in Mexico and makes no mention of this fact in the interview process. I'm very upset with how I was welcomed and the living conditions. There was not one mention of the bed bugs until all of my belongings were already inside, very upsetting!

Harmony house has been the best choice I have made as a housing solution so I can further my sobriety. The house is in a great neighborhood where there are no drugs that I have seen making the environment choice of being sober a good one. The house itself is in great shape, actually the nicest house I have lived in and if there are any problems it is fixed as soon as it is mentioned. The house owner is involved more than any owner I have met and she genuinely cares and is there for your best interest and willing to go the whole way for you if you are willing to put the work in to be sober. The house counselor is the same where she is there for you if you have any problems or issues and will help you work through them. The house manager is also very fair and helps to provide a stable, safe environment inside the house. The house is there to be connected through a sober community and it is made sure that it is and I feel is a great place to start. It is in walking distance to meetings and has stores all around to try to find employment. Most important is the community inside the house willing to help each other where I have found it a safe place to talk to people about anything I was going through and they were there to help me. All in all I would recommend harmony house for anyone serious about getting sober as I didn't picture myself living here but I am glad I made the choice to.

My son lived in this home for 6 months and it was the most clean time he had. The owner, although not always on site, always stayed on top of the clients. Communicating and keeping control over the home. The home was clean and neat every time I went to visit. The other residents were always concerned about each other and kept each other accountable. One of the few homes, not in Philly, where suboxone is permitted. Many of our addict children need medication and this house understood that. My son gained responsibility and respect at the home through caring intervention. I highly recommend it for men that are serious about recovery.

You\'ll find absouletly NO HARMONY in this place. Dilapidated, filthy, bug infested house. Owner does NOTHING to upkeep this house. She lives in Mexico and interviews potential recovering addicts on the phone. She has no control over her recovery house and no one to oversee what is going on in the house resulting in tremendous turnover. DON\'T EVER even consider this house for recovery!!!!!!!!!
