Located on 163 acres of wooded Louisiana countryside, Eagle Lake Recovery Center is a residential treatment facility for adult men facing substance use disorder (SUD), trauma, and co-occurring mental health concerns. The center offers a full continuum of care, including medically supervised detox when appropriate, residential treatment, and step-down options such as day treatment (PHP) and intensive outpatient care (IOP), delivered in a structured residential setting with 24/7 professional support from licensed counselors, mental health professionals, and medical staff. Find Structure in Care The program brings together evidence-based therapy and holistic care to address addiction, trauma, mental health needs, and compulsive behaviors such as pornography use and sexual compulsion. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma therapy, and psychoeducation. Focused therapeutic work helps men identify triggers, understand underlying emotional patterns, reduce shame, and build healthier coping and relationship behaviors. Residents also take part in fitness training, yoga, nutrition guidance, life skills work, and adventure-based activities that support emotional regulation and daily structure. Restore Routine Through Nature Daily life is organized around routine, accountability, and connection. Residents stay in shared rooms and follow a schedule that includes therapy, meals, wellness activities, outdoor time, and reflection. Group sessions and peer interaction reinforce accountability, particularly in addressing compulsive behaviors and rebuilding trust in relationships. The campus offers open space for hiking and experiential activities, along with fitness center access and nutrition-focused meals that reinforce healthy habits and practical recovery skills.
