Specialization

  • Residential Treatment

Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
  • Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

  • Debbie Stone, LCSW
    Debbie Stone, LCSWChief Clinical Director
Debbie Stone was born and raised in New Jersey. Her journey throughout life to the place she is now as Chief Clinical Director at Daylight Detox & Recovery Center has been one of care, compassion and a help. Her educational background began by receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Rider University in 1989. Post graduation she took her talents from New Jersey to Florida to join the Master’s in Social Work Program at Barry University. After graduation in 1997, through 2014 Debbie worked as a Support Coordinator (Case Management) for the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. After being involved with adults and children for 17 years with varying degrees of developmental disabilities she learned patience, being a team player, communication with loved ones, and sensitivity to others. After gaining her license in 2012, she never imagined leaving individuals with disabilities to work in substance abuse, but as life changes so did Debbie. After her husband’s relapse, her oldest daughter and herself discovered the recovery community and after researching the field, they opened an Intensive Outpatient Program. As the landscape of the treatment industry changed so did their business. All the business relationships, ups and downs, have led her to Daylight Detox & Recovery Center.
