5 days in hell is what I call it. At admission all personal belongs where taken, having to strip in front of a male and female staff, told to bend over, spread my cheeks and cough. That is just the beginning but there's not enough space here.

Centerpointe put a child on a psychiatric medication and then did not follow up with the authorization needed after they released her from care. They have been contacted serval times over 4 days without follow up or follow through. Meanwhile a child is going through withdrawals which can be life threatening with this type of medication. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HER FOR HELP!!

The food was good there. Best part is you can smoke there like 8 cigarettes a day which is better than none and you can go outside. The floors was filthy, trash always running over and a bad bug problem because of the trash. Some of the techs was awesome the nurses not so much, was rude and the patients over medicated…. I would only go back because you get to get outside enjoy getting off the unit and I can smoke and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. The social worker I had is the rudest person I have ever met. And nobody can answer any questions because apparently the right and doesn’t no what the left had was doing…

I went here twice for inpatient to get clean off heroin. I’ve been clean for over 7 years thanks in part to my own determination but also because centerpointe gave me the tools to navigate life sober. It’s one of the best rehabs in STL. That being said the success rate of being clean isn’t based off a rehab, it’s honestly random. When you first arrive you’re separated from inpatient members while you detox for 24-72 hours. You are given meds to help ease the withdrawals but it’s not magic. You’re going to be dopesick. After this you join inpatient and stay usually for 14-28 days depending on what the doctor recommends and financial situations. During my time in inpatient we had to get up every morning at 6:30, we’re given meds, went to meetings, had individual therapy, had group therapy, had recovering addicts come speak to us, and saw a psychiatrist. You’re allowed to smoke cigarettes and the food is decent. It’s not a luxury spa , but you should realize that bc it’s a rehab. It’s not dirty either. It’s sanitary and basic. The staff there truly cares. They invest their life in trying to give you the tools to succeed. They’re honest with you, never sugarcoating it, and will do what’s best for you long term. They’re not abusive but some will think they’re tough (as they ought to be). That being said any rehab is a good option for someone looking to get clean.

I had a great experience at CenterPointe Hospital, I have been free of Heroin for 10 months now. I could not have done this without the help of doctors and staff at CenterPointe.I followed up with outpatient services in St.Peters and I feel great
