About Cenikor Foundation - Amarillo
For nearly 60 years, Cenikor has served as a non-profit leader in behavioral health, providing a foundation of hope for individuals and families across Texas. At our Amarillo location, we believe that recovery works best when the plan fits the person. We move away from "one-size-fits-all" mental health and substance use care, instead offering a multidisciplinary approach led by licensed professional counselors (LPCs), chemical dependency counselors (LCDCs), and medical providers.
Our Levels of Care in Amarillo Cenikor Amarillo specializes in high-quality outpatient services designed to provide structure while allowing clients to maintain their daily lives and community connections:
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Intensive, daily therapeutic structure with the ability to return home in the evenings.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Focused group and individual counseling sessions tailored to long-term stability.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): Clinical use of Suboxone and Buprenorphine to support safe recovery from opioid use.
Recovery Support & Prevention: A full continuum of care including alumni networks and community education.
The "Cenikor Difference" in Clinical Excellence Our therapeutic methods are rooted in proven, real-world results. We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients reshape thought patterns and build self-respect. We also feature specialized programming such as Seeking Safety, which addresses the intersection of trauma and substance use, and Living in Balance, which focuses on practical life skills for long-term wellness.
