Robert Lefever

Dr. Robert Lefever is a graduate of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and The Middlesex Hospital Medical School in London. After winning a singing scholarship and hoping to become a professional musician, he found greater happiness as a family physician. After 16 years working in passionate support of the British National Health Service, he recognized that it doesn't work for those who most need it - the inarticulate poor - and that it was a top/down directed system that has no place for innovation. He therefore created his own independent medical practice and also built the first rehab to treat all addictive behavior and, non-medicinally, the anxiety and depression that underlie it. He has treated over 5,000 in-patients, using ideas gained from 30 visits to the USA. His hope now is to share that experience with others.
