How to Get Admitted to Rehab in Florida

While each treatment facility is different, many follow a similar admissions process with a few key steps. How quickly you move through these steps depends on several factors, including bed availability, finances, and insurance coverage. In some cases, you may be able to gain same-day admission to a drug and alcohol rehab facility.

At American Addiction Centers, we’re here to help you with rehab admissions in Florida. We operate two Florida treatment facilities: Recovery First Treatment Center in Hollywood and River Oaks Treatment Center in Riverview.

Introduction to Admissions Navigators

Step 1: Tell us your story.

Our admissions navigators are available 24/7 to hear your story and help you find a treatment facility that meets your needs. Many of our team members have personal experience with addiction and understand what you’re going through. It’s always confidential and free to call, and with no obligation to enter treatment.

Step 2: Get pre-screened.

During prescreening, one of our admissions navigators will speak with you to better understand your needs. We’ll discuss your mental and physical health history, substance use, and other relevant medical details. You’ll also talk through logistical factors that may influence your choice of facility, such as closeness to home and insurance coverage. Your admissions navigator will help you find the best fit based on your circumstances.

Step 3: Get your personalized treatment recommendations.

Once we have a full picture of your needs, our team will create a personalized treatment plan. Treatment is not one-size-fits-all, and we believe that individualized care is key to lasting recovery. For many people, medical detox is an important first step before starting inpatient treatment or outpatient treatment. At the end of your program, we’ll help you build an aftercare plan to support your recovery as you return to everyday life.
